Jillis Slingerland is a Dutch paraglider and paramotor pilot who joined the ITV Wings team in 2021.
When he was little, Jillis accompanied his parents on beautiful summer evenings to watch parachute jumps. He was immediately fascinated and it was only natural that he wanted to become a skydiver when he reached the required age.
Afterward, he also felt attracted by the idea of flying without an airplane; he then inquired to find a paramotor school near his home. There he met people who, like him, worked during the day and flew at night. He made great friends and grew a large network of passionate pilots like himself.
Jillis is often seen on social media flying over beautiful landscapes, and his best memory is a flight above clouds and mountains.
Over the years, his interest in fast flights evolved and he started moving into slalom.
For a few years now, he has been indulging in this new discipline and for this he says that he likes "to fly under the fast and safe wings of ITV Wings".
His current wing is the Piper 18 but his favorite remains the Fury, our famous slalom wing.
He likes competitions and his goal is to be in the top 10 this year, to progress to the top 5 next year. A well-defined program !
