Who is Mika ?
Mika Regnier, in addition to being the director of ITV Wings since 2017, is a French pilot of paragliding, paramotor, kite, speed riding and micro light.
When he was a child, Mika dreamed of becoming an airplane pilot... finally, growing up on the shores of Lake Annecy, it was naturally that he got drawn to the world of paragliding and kiteboarding.
For the record, did you know that he invented the figure of the barrel in speed riding? We invite you to take a look at the list of his awards below, to get an idea of the level at which he practiced each discipline. Today, Mika can count more than 5,000 hours of flight time, all practices combined!
His best flying memory was at 5:00 in the morning on the Dune du Pyla. He will never forget this wonderful moment, perched 300 meters above the Dune. With his wife Maulde and friends, Tristan Shu, Jim Nougarolles and Chacha Maxx, they were along, the Dune just for them at sunrise.
He was on duty for a kite brand, when he learned that ITV Wings was recruiting for its after-sales service. That’s how, in 2005, Mika started his great story with ITV.
In 2017, when he was offered to become its director, he seized the opportunity. It was the perfect occasion to leave the dream !
Today, he is responsible for the R&D of the new ITV Wings gliders, from design to approval, including testing of the various prototypes.
When asked what his favorite wing is, he answers with great enthusiasm "the next one !!".
His projects as a pilot are to continue to develop ITV bread with new gliders, while keeping his passion for flying: "I want flying to remain a pleasure (not only work), but the passion needs constant attention to keep the flame alive!!”
